This End User License Agreement governs
use of the materials made available in the non-public portion
of www.hipaacomplianceguide.com (the web site). This includes
any modified versions or updates of the materials that may
be posted on the site in the future. As a registered end user,
you will be authorized to gain access to the web site and
to download materials posted there. Please read this Agreement
carefully.
Compliance Guides, LLC grants to you a non-exclusive license
to use the web site, provided that you agree to the following:
1. The information posted on this web site is provided for
informational purposes only. Its purpose is to assist registered
end users to understand the requirements of the Health Insurance
Portability and Accountability Act of 1996, and to prepare
for compliance with those requirements. As good as this information
may be, it is not a substitute for professional advice from
an experience lawyer or information systems security professional.
The author and distributor of A Path to HIPAA Compliance are
not responsible for decisions made by users with respect to
compliance with HIPAA or other provisions of law. That responsibility
remains with the governing body of HIPAA covered entities.

Subscription fees are based on the number of registered end
users of an organization. By clicking ACCEPT, below, you agree
that you will not share a user identity and password with
other people. Please be honest.
3. The materials made available on the web site are the intellectual
property of Compliance Guides, LLC or third parties. They
are protected by United States copyright law. They may not
be copied, except for the personal use of registered end users.
They may not be distributed to third parties. The “look
and feel” of these materials may not be duplicated.
As a registered end user, you agree to honor these intellectual
property rights.
4. This Agreement will be interpreted and construed in accordance
with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the United
States of America, without regard to conflict of law principles.
All disputes arising out of this Agreement shall be subject
to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of courts of competent
jurisdiction of Virginia, and the parties consent to the exclusive
and personal jurisdiction of these courts. In the event of
a dispute, the prevailing party will be entitled to recover
its reasonable fees and expenses including attorney's fees.
